The New Year Walk will visit Cannock Chase again this year. The route will follow little used footpaths visiting some interesting locations across the Chase. The walk will start from the
Visitor Centre. (Map Ref. 004154) (Free parking on Marquis Drive) ar 10.00am.
The route will take in the Sherbrook Valley, Old Acre Valley, Brocton, Milford Covert to a lunch stop at the Barley Mow, Milford, used on last years walk. (5 miles).
The return trip will cross Spring Hill to the Stepping Stones and then climb up Cherrywood Slade to the Rifle Range and back to the Visitor Centre. (Total distance 10 miles).
Hoping to see the usual good turnout for this first official meet of 2010.
