(no replies) http://www.jotech.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,243,243#msg-243 The route this year will be from Edale repeating a walk we have done several times before, the coach will leave Alstonefield at 7.30 am as usual and it is hoped to start walking by 8.30 am.
The lunch stop will be at the Bull i' th' Thorn on the Buxton/Ashbourne road. This is a very old pub dating back to 1472 with a great fireplace. A room will made available for us and I am sure this will be a popular stopping place coming at 14 miles. The pub will be open all afternoon for any members wishing to stop the walk at this point. Any support to help ferry walkers back to Alstonefield would be most appreciated.
The meal on Saturday evening will be again at the Bluebell and the same menu as last year will be available.

Since the Curry Evening is being held on the Wednesday evening prior to the walk and a large number of members are attending this event the route for the walk will be distributed there. I will not be in club that night but if anyone wishes me to post or E mail a route to their home please give me a ring.

Direction to the meeting point:-
1. Go to Rugeley.
2. Take A51 to Wolseley Bridge and at second traffic island take the A 513 towards Stafford. After one mile take a rough track to left opposite a road at Weetmans Bridge.
3. Drive up rough track for some 200 yds to reach free parking area.
